Stayed here with my two teenage daughters for two nights whilst they were competing at a local dancing competition. This is a great hotel with free parking and lovely food. The family room is huge and beds very comfy. Just across the road there is a large shopping centre which provided some instruction, plus there is a cinema which we didn’t go to. Luas team is just outside the door.
The hotel is right beside the Luas tram stop which gets you the city centre in about 30 minutes. Half the price of city centre hotels. The breakfast is cooked to order not like the usual buffet in most hotels and the variety of choice is amazing
Every member of staff I inter acted with were amazing. Total professionals. I would have no hesitation staying again or recommending to others.
Had an excellent stay in the Glashaus this week. Had never heard of the hotel before and just booked that day because of work, as the snow began to arrive ! From the moment I entered (and I wasn't in a particularly good mood!) the experience was first class. Friendly, efficient reception staff - lovely young girl and guy - made a great first impression. Had a problem with the key for my room, which was sorted immediately. Was very surprised with the room, great size, warm and spotless. Was going to order room service but decided to visit the bar first. Quite a nice, informal atmosphere. Very attentive, yet genuine staff, so I decided to eat there and was most impressed with both the food and the service. Had a great pasta dish which I would never choose in a hotel, but it was definitely Italian restaurant quality. Breakfast the next morning was good. Excellent young girl serving and doing a great job - again efficient and pleasant. Overall a really good stay - well done !
Apart from the TV being a bit small, I couldn't find fault with my room. Staff were friendly, the breakfast was lovely and there were many options nearby to shop or eat. There is Luas tram stop right outside the hotel, so getting into the city is simple. If you are a light sleeper you should ask from a room away from the tram tracks. I'd happily stay here again.
